Warm the Streets

2026

A Step to Freedom is a nonprofit focused on economic mobility, through housing placement and workforce development. Warm the Streets is how we meet our neighbors on the street: a blanket, socks and water in hand, and a path to a job and a home behind it.

01

Two service days

Saturday, December 12 · Darby Park, Inglewood
Monday, January 18, 2027 · MLK Day of Service
February 2027 · Housing & Workforce resource fair

Call time, parking and your route are emailed and texted about a week before each day.

02

How a service day works

Teams meet at the park, load blankets, socks and water, and walk them out into the community alongside ASF's outreach team. Eligibility specialists are on site, so someone who wants housing or a job can start that day.

03

Bring your people

Organizations volunteer in groups of 5 or more. Register once for your whole team and we'll send a roster link. Individuals are welcome too.

Pair your day with a fundraising team.

The blanket starts the relationship. The services change the life.
